Nik Hilton attends Stirling Prize Awards
Last night I was privileged to attend the Stirling Prize ceremony, one of the most prestigious awards in architecture. Sat one table from the front I had a great view of the event in which Zaha Hadid received the prize for her Maxxi museum in Rome. The event was held in the beautiful Roundhouse building in Camden which was originally a depot for servicing locomotives on a turntable. Although Design4D's work is very different from Zaha Hadid it was great to see someone who has pushed the limits of materials and computer technology finally being recognised by the UK architectural establishment.
